JacobRolf Jacob Sartorius, a boy who was born in Oklahoma was raised in Tulsa. The parents of the child were not able to take care of him right away after the birth, so he was adopted , and then moved to Virginia. The adoptive family took care of him at home in Reston Virginia. When he was seven years old, Sartorius started singing in musicals, and then found his love for performing. Vine is an American hosting service for video that provided video clips in short form. In the year 2017, Sartorius' lip-syncing videos were watched by over 8 million viewers. Sartorius believed that using social media could be his way of escaping being bullied because he was an innocent victim. He said that he wasn't the most social person prior to Musical.ly. He was of the opinion that nobody other than the camera.
